Artist, teacher. Born in Kiev in the family of Dmitry Krein (4 December 1940). Moved with his mother to Odessa (1946). Studied at a secondary school of art and Odessa School of Art. Moved with his mother to Karaganda following his father’s release from prison (1955). Taught drawing and worked for the Karaganda Regional Theatre of Drama and the Mining Palace of Culture in Karaganda. Continued his studies at the Odessa School of Art (1964). Worked for the Odessa Studios of Art and Industry. Emigrated to the United States (1979). Died in New York (1983).
