Cuban artist. Born in Villa Clara (1954). Graduated from the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA) in Havana (1981). Professor of the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA) in Havana (1980–90). Fellow of the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Paris (1989), Deutschen Akademichen Austauschdienstes (DAAD), Gesamthochschule Kassel (1990–93) and the Simon R. Guggenheim Memorial Foundation International, New York. Lives and works in Monterrey, Mexico. Contributed to Volume 1 at the Galería de Arte Internacional in Havana (1981), I Havana Biennale (1984), XVIII São Paulo Biennale (1985), XLII Venice Biennale (1986), II Havana Biennale (1986), Made in Havana.
