Alexei Rossal-Voronov
Painter. Born in the family of Semyon Rossal-Voronov in the town of Ananyiv in the Ukraine (1921). Studied at a school of art in Samarkand (1936–41). Fought in the Second World War (1941–45). Lived in Tashkent (1946–60). Moved to Moscow (1960). Member of Ely Belyutin’s New Reality studio (from early 1960s). Died in Moscow (2008). Contributed to exhibitions in Russia (from early 1950s) and abroad (from late 1980s).
