Georgian painter, graphic artist, teacher. Born in the family of Matvei Bandzeladze in the town of Tulun in Irkutsk Region (1927). Studied at the Tbilisi School of Art (1942) and the Tbilisi Academy of Arts (1947–48). Took up graphic art (mid-1940s) and painting (late 1950s). Member of the Union of Artists (1954). Honoured Artist of Georgia. Died in the city of Tbilisi in Georgia (1992). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1949), including Abstraction in Russia: XX Century at the Russian Museum in St Petersburg (2001–02).
