Choral Bridge

Bridge across the River Moika near the Capella. Built by architect Vasily Stasov and engineer Yegor Adam (1839–40) on the site of a wooden joist bridge by Auguste de Montferrand (1834) for allowing troops participating in the parade celebrating the opening of the Alexander Column to pass onto Palace Square. Original wooden bridge was called the Yellow Bridge.
