Large three-storey stone house with single-storey side wings built for the favourite sister of Peter the GreatTsarevna Natalia Alexeyevna (1710–14). One of the first stone constructions in the city. Included the town’s first old people’s home and the Church of the Resurrection of Christ. After Natalia’s death, awarded to the Municipal Chancellery (1716) and the Construction Chancellery (1723). The “workshop departments of Her Imperial Majesty” were also located there. The dilapidated building was dismantled (early 19th century) and replaced by the Church of Our Lady of the Joy of All Who Sorrow designed by Luigi Rusca (1817–19).
